‘‘To Tylko 21 gramów za granica’’

In this series of photographs, the artist tells us a story about the soul - a subtle and precious area of humanity. The soul as the inner space of human where the true 'I' is located. It is the birthplace of emotions; not only positive but also negative ones, it is a refuge of our life experiences; being human does not have one face, moreover, we are not perfect; good and evil, selfishness, altruism, pain, and joy intertwine in our lives. This is a story about how superficial treatment of people can be destructive. Through these photographs, Marek wants to make you reflect on your own life. What is important in life? How are your relationships with others? How do you treat others? Superficially?

‘‘I want my audiences to ask themselves the question of the meaning of existence, to see how important the presence of another human being is, I want to encourage you to decide for yourself what is important to you, additionally I want you to see that the human is really a complex creature, and in fact everything can affect our lives; childhood, friendships, even strangers on the street, and even worse, our appearance, gender, race, or background, so do not be superficial. I know, it is not easy, I would be ignorant if I did not agree with you, it is hard to overcome the stereotypes that we have been instilled since childhood. Is it entirely possible? Will it always be ‘true” for us…? ‘‘
